We are sad to share that our mother, Jessie Hammond, a lifelong resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on August 13, 2007. She was born in Buffalo, Wyoming, in 1931 to Gerald and Velma Butler, before the family moved to Skagit County when she was a child. Jessie is predeceased by her brother, Daniel Butler, and her parents. She is survived by her brother, Jim Butler, and his wife Sue, her sister, Teresa Penley, and husband Bud, and three loving children, Robert Hammond Jr., and his wife Ellen, Vicki Boyd, Terry Tyra and her husband Howard. She was further blessed with nine grandchildren, Aaron Hammond, Rachel Wagner, and husband Frank, Devin Anderson, Kelsey Tyra and wife Rebecca, Adele Tyra, and partner Gerald Gomez, Miles Boyd, Dylan Boyd, Amy Boyd, and Sara Chartrand, and husband David, and six great grandchildren, Cody, Gavin, Avery, Emersen, Jeremy, and Jayden.
Mom enjoyed going to the movies, cooking, camping, fishing, gardening, caring for her four little dogs, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed greatly by us all.
