Mary Gertrude Kenoyer, age 91, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2006 at her home in Lyman, Washington.
She was born April 18, 1915 in Leavenworth, Washington, the youngest of 5 children of Charles and Sarah Boisineau Imbleau.
Gertrude was a former longtime resident of Whatcom County where she worked as a cashier for the Fairhaven Market and later was post mistress at the Fairhaven Post Office.
She has resided in Lyman since 1972 and was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Church.
Gertrude was married to Archie Kenoyer on May 29, 1937 in Bellingham and he preceded her in death in 1976.
She loved to have company and was always ready to help her family when there was a need. Gertrude loved to crochet, knit, and was a wonderful cook. She loved to go hunting with her family and travel when she could.
Gertrude is survived by her daughter, Rolande Kenoyer of Lyman and two nephews, Larry G. Brooks of Darrington and Eugene ‘Buck’ Imbleau of Alger and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Archie, and her brothers, Louie, Emery, Eugene, and a sister, Frances Brooks.
Graveside Services will be Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Lyman Cemetery with presiding Minister, John Eckerson. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM at Kingdom Hall in Concrete. Arrangements and Services under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
