Nancy A. Conklin Degeus passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Mira Vista Care Center in Mount Vernon, WA at the age of 53 years.
She was born November 12, 1953 in Long Beach, CA, the daughter of Eddie and Mary Fulton Conklin.
Nancy was raised in Southern California and had resided there until 1981 when she moved to Concrete. She has resided in Mount Vernon since 1985.
Nancy worked as a cook for Burger King and also as a waitress for Taco Bell in Mount Vernon. She attended the Church of Christ in Mount Vernon.
Nancy is survived by her husband, John Degeus of Mount Vernon. Her mother, Mary Conklin and brother, Russ Conklin, both of Concrete. An aunt, Rita Byas of Glendale, AZ; 7 nieces and nephews and 7 great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Eddie Conklin, her grandmother, Clara Brady and an aunt, Burnice Fulton.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Jerel Kratt of the Mount Vernon Church of Christ officiating. Private interment will be at the Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association Northwest Affiliate, 4414 Woodland Park Ave. N, Seattle, WA 98103-7499
