PASCUAL ‘PEDRO’ OVANTES
‘TATA PETE’

Pascual Pedro Ovantes, age 76, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2006 at his home in Marysville, WA with his family at his side. He was born in El Centro, California on March 31, 1929, the son of Zacarias and Isabel Martinez Ovantes.
Pedro was raised in Mexico City where he lived until he met his wife Santa and they were married on February 1, 1947. In the year 1961, he moved with his family to Tijuana Baja, California where he found the Lord as his personal saviour. In 1974, he moved to San Diego, California where he was a member in the Apostolic Assembly.
While on vacation in 1978, he came to Washington State which he loved and called it ‘God’s Land’ that he loved so much, that he moved his family in 1979 to Washington State.
He had a love for the outdoors ‘God’s Land’ as he called it. He loved to hike, swim, mountain climb, and take long walks. He was very happy when he was in the outdoors. The Lord blessed him with a beautiful voice in which he loved to sing to the Lord.
He is survived by his wife ‘Santa’, his children, Tere & Juan, Rudy & Baudelia, Doris & Zeke, and Judith & Tito. His grandchildren, Michael & Linda, Cinthya & Ramiro, Nancy & Kevin, Steve & Corina, Wendy, David, Adam, Yvie, Benjamin & Brenda, and Vanessa & Jeremiah. His great grandchildren, Kaleb, Isaac, Tabitha, Analiz, Angelica, Marisa, Keegan, Izzaya, and many nieces and nephews as well as brothers & sisters. He was a friend to others, a brother to some, and ‘TATA’ to many.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 2, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley with Ezequiel Pachelo, Assistant Pastor with Apostolic Assembly of God Church in Burlington officiating. Interment will follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
