Adrienne Earle Muff a longtime piano teacher in Sedro-Woolley and Burlington passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at the United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley at the age of 88 years. She was born May 17, 1915 in Buffalo, West Virginia the daughter of Roderick and Mary Vaught Ross. Adrienne graduated from Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland and later resided in the North Hollywood and Van Nuys, California area’s until moving to Skagit Valley 25 years ago. She enjoyed cooking and was an active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was well known for her teaching abilities and she loved her piano students young and old. She is survived by her son and daughter in law Dr. Nicholas and Sue Muff of Sedro-Woolley. 5 grandchildren Nicky and Tiffany Muff of Sedro-Woolley, Tricia Lingenfelter Weaver of Portland, OR, Tanya McCombs of Spokane, WA, and Tiffany Pierce of Hartford, CT. Adrienne was preceded in death by a daughter Adrienne Earle II, a sister Marilyn Gail Yost, and a brother Donald Ross.
Memorial Services will be Sunday, September 28, 2003 at 11:00AM at the North Cascade Seventh Day Adventist Church in Burlington. Interment was held at Crestlawn Pierce Brothers Cemetery in Riverside, California. Memorials are suggested to the Adrienne Muff Memorial Fund c/o Dr. Nicholas Muff 21310 Rolling Place, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284 in recognition of her son Nichola’s efforts in cancer research in the Skagit Valley.
