Allison Dea Clark

Friday, January 16th, 2009

Allison Clark, a beloved, lifetime resident of Skagit County passed away Friday night following a terrible, single-automobile accident on Highway 9. Allison was born in Sedro-Woolley on Nov. 19, 1963, middle daughter of Dean and Mary Sue Earles. She attended Sedro-Woolley Schools, graduating in 1982, and going directly on to Western Washington University. Graduating in 1986 with a degree in Psychology, she worked for DSHS supporting abused children from 1986 to 1991. Married in 1989, she and her husband Ed Clark built a thriving plumbing business in Sedro-Woolley while raising their two children Logan, 19, and Hannah, 16. Allison was a valued member of the community, involved a little bit of everything, but specifically in 4-H with Hannah, as ambassador for the Sedro-Woolley Chamber of Commerce, and as a ‘SPIKE’ member of SICBA, which was a great honor to her because she was one of only three women to achieve that level. She was a fervent recycler at home and was proud of her many large bins at their business. Caring and loving, she donated to hundreds of organizations including 4-H, the Fairgrounds, the Rodeo grounds, Sedro-Woolley Co-op Preschool, Make-A-Wish and many more. Allison is survived by her husband Ed, son Logan and daughter Hannah Clark; her mother and stepfather, Mary Sue and Lee Dallas, her father and stepmother, Dean and Casey Earles; her uncle Ben Trimble, his wife Eva and cousins Jake and Sara; her older sister Heather and husband Jeff Pitman and their children Jessie and Orin; and her younger sister Erin Earles and nieces Madeline and Emily Swortz; stepbrother Brad Dallas and his wife Angela, nephews Dirk, Tate, Gibb and Tack; stepsister Necia Dallas nephews Nicolo and Maximo. Step-sisters Nicole Newell and Tobi Cook. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Katie Hendrickson. It’s difficult to sum up the life of someone who touched so many people. Outgoing, bubbly, and generous to a fault, she was a friend to so many and was always happy to help in any way she could, especially when it came to young people. She loved horseback riding, camping, hunting and fishing. She had a very, welcoming home with a large garden, growing everything from cabbage to zucchini. She enjoyed canning fruit and vegetables, yard work and watching birds at her many bird feeders. Allison was a truly beautiful and wonderful person with a huge heart and will be missed by everyone who knew her. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Bethel Assembly of God located at Township and State Streets in Sedro-Woolley, Washington. Following the services there will be a reception at the church. Memorials may be made to the Allison Clark Scholarship Fund at Skagit State Bank.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Assembly of God Church in Sedro-Woolley with Pastor Jim Cannon officiating.
