Blake William Bell, 56, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2008 at the Veterans Hospital in Seattle.

He was born on December 15, 1952 in Bellingham, WA, the son of William & Emma Lee Holden Bell.
Blake attended schools in Washington & California, graduating from high school from Eisenhower High School in Yakima, WA in 1971.

He had begun classes at Central Washington University but was interrupted when he enlisted to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during the Viet Nam conflict. After he completed hydraulic school he made two tours of duty to Viet Nam aboard the carrier, USS Kittyhawk. After his discharge he returned to Skagit County and worked in the timber industry.

Having played football in high school, he enjoyed watching football games and also the Mariners on TV and living near the La Conner flats in his early years, duck hunting was a natural.
He was a respected and kind hearted person. He was dearly loved by his family and friends.

Blake was preceded in death by his father, William E. Bell; his grandparents, Joseph & Hermie Holden and an aunt, Doris Coates. He is survived by his mother, Emma Lee Owen, an aunt, Sally Rivera and four cousins.

At his request there will be no funeral services. Private family inurnment will be held at the Lyman Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
