BONNIE PEARLE CHRISTENSEN, 83, a longtime Acme resident passed away Monday, May 3, 2004 at St. Francis Extended Health Care in Bellingham, WA. She was born April 7, 1921 in Park, WA on the south area of Lake Whatcom the daughter of Francis Nova and Claista Nora Smallwood. She was raised and attended school in the Park area and was married to Allen Christensen on July 29, 1939 in Bellingham. During WWII, they resided in Bremerton until later moving to Acme where they resided for 55 years. Bonnie was a member of the Maple Leaf Eastern Star in Bellingham and also a charter member of the Mt. Baker Orchid Society.
Bonnie is survived by a daughter Anna Christensen of Acme. A brother Eddie and his wife Vivian Smallwood of Sedro-Woolley and a sister-in- law Betty Smallwood of South Bay, Lake Whatcom. Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Allen in 2002, 2 daughters Bonnie and Mina Christensen and 2 brothers George Howard and Francis Lee Smallwood.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 12:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley. Interment will follow the service at the Fir-Conway Cemetery in Conway. The Family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Association, Northwest Regional Office at 6315A Fleming, Everett, WA 98203 or a charity of your choice.
