Buddy Joe Russell passed away on Friday, February 25, 2005 at his home in Concrete, WA at the age of 32 years. He was born on January 29, 1973 in Mount Vernon, WA, the son of Ronald Russell and Eileen Self Prince. Buddy grew up in Sedro-Woolley where he attended school and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1991.
He worked as a house painter and loved racing motorcycles where he received many awards.
Buddy Joe is survived by his mother and step-father, Eileen and Joel Prince of Concrete and his father and step-mother, Ron and Lori Russell of Sedro-Woolley. Sisters, Jennifer Buruato and her children, Keegan and Deklan of Mesa, AZ and Dena Russell of Sedro-Woolley. A brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Charlene Russell, Jr. and their son, Cameron all of Sedro-Woolley. Step-sisters, Carla Willis of Ferndale and Angie Spangler of Concrete. Grandfather, Buddy Russell and his companion, Shirley of Concrete, and grandmothers, Selah Hooper and her husband, Arnold of Orofino, ID and Setsuko Vargas and her husband, Mario of Fresno, CA. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jason and his grandfather, Joe Self.
Graveside Services will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at 2:00PM at the Hamilton Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Martin of the Concrete Assembly of God Church officiating. Memorials are suggested to Children’s Orthopedic Hospital or Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
