Carol Gibb a resident of Concrete passed away Sunday, October 6, 2002 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley, WA at the age of 77 years. She was born September 5, 1925 in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of John and Anna McHone Woolley. Carol has been a resident of Concrete, WA since 1982 coming here from Seattle. She formally resided in Wichita, KS for many years where she worked as a waitress and a bank teller. She was married to John Gibb on February 4, 1967 in Wichita and he preceded her in death in 1983. Carol was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and Garden Club of Concrete and she attended the Community Bible Church. She is survived by her children Judy K. and her husband Rollin Potter of Concrete, Dee Ann Overton of Wichita, KS, Dee Byron and his wife Diana Blakey Jr. of Wichita, KS, and Susan and her husband Rick Payment of Zillah, WA. A sister Virginia Wright of Wichita, KS, a brother in law Milton Moore of Derby, KS and best friend Doris Prisel of Concrete. 8 grandchildren Carol Marie Otto, Shelley Clasen, Earnest W. Overton, Charles Edward Lambert, Michele ‘Missy’ Schroth, Bradley D. Blakey, Angela Blakey, and Aimee Overton and 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Byron Earl, and 3 sisters Mary R. Moore, Elnor Heath, and Marion Brown. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 9, 2002 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM and from 7:00PM to 8:00PM at Lemley Chapel. Funeral Services will be Thursday, October 10, 2002 at 2:00PM at the Community Bible Church of Concrete with Pastor Rob Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at the Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete.
