C. ERVIN BAGLEY, 92, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away at his home on Tuesday May 31, 2005 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 11, 1913 in Roseburg, Oregon, the son of William T. & Margaret Candler Bagley. In 1919 the family moved to Sedro-Woolley where Ervin was raised and attended school.
In 1939 he was united in marriage to V. Lenora Trout and they made their home in Sedro-Woolley and Ervin worked as a stationary engineer at the powerhouse at Northern State Hospital and then as a maintenance electrician at Skagit Steel during WW II.
In 1945 they moved to Homer, Alaska where Ervin worked in the construction industry for eleven years. While there Ervin hand built the home his family lived in. In 1956 they returned to Sedro-Woolley and Ervin worked for Goodyear Nelson Lumber until his retirement.
He was a terrific husband, father and provider for his family. He loved to fish and work with his hands, he told great stories about his life’s experiences and he was very good at everything he did.
Ervin is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lenora at the family home in Sedro-Woolley. 2 sons, Bill Bagley and his wife, Melinda of Sedro-Woolley and David Bagley of Maple Valley. 4 grandchildren, Heidi Smith, Brenna Cameron Russell and Kyle & Todd Bagley, and one sister, Evelyn Hoyle. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Mae Balf & Genevene Wright. At his request there will be no funeral services. Private inurnment will be at Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
