CLARA COLE, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident passed Sunday morning, May 5, 2002 at Burton Care Center in Burlington surrounded by her family. She was 75 years of age.<br>Clara was born on February 4, 1927 in Centralia, WA the daughter of Olaf & Louise Taylor Olivers. As a young girl the family moved to Acme, WA where she was raised and attended grade school. In 1944 she moved to Sedro-Woolley where she graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1945. <br>On March 20, 1946 she was united in marriage to William Cole in Sedro-Woolley and they have made their home there for the past 56 years. In the early 1960’s Clara began working as a cook at Sedro-Woolley High School, later working as a janitor at Northern State Hospital until its closure in the early 1970’s. She returned to working for the Sedro-Woolley school district until her retirement in 1983. Clara enjoyed going on cruises and playing cards with friends and family. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church where she was active in the Alter society.<br>Clara is survived by her husband of 56 years, William at the family home in Sedro-Woolley, WA. 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille & Ande Mitchelle of Sedro-Woolley, W A and Linda & Randy Chiabai of Bellingham, WA. 2 grandchildren, Jay & Jana Chiabai. Her twin brother, Clarence Olivers and his wife Mary of Bellingham, WA. 1 sister, Lucille Johnson and her husband Alvin of Union, WA and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne in 1967 and a brother Art Reynolds.<br>Memorials to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Sedro-Woolley or the Alzheimer’s Foundation are suggested.<br>A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday May 8, 2002 at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Sedro-Woolley. Father Pat McDermott Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with that followed by a celebration of life fellowship at the church fellowship hall.
