Clifford Rohlf

Tuesday, November 30th, 2021

Clifford Dean Rohlf, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Swedish Hospital in Seattle.

He was born June 3, 1947, in Aitkin, Minnesota to Ray and Donna Rohlf.  He grew up in the Seattle area and graduated from Franklin High School in 1965.  He also attended Highline Community College.

He was an independent free spirit most of his life.  Worked at the Rainier Brewery for many years before moving to California until he missed the Pacific Northwest and moved back to Renton.  He liked to share his knowledge of the history of Seattle–especially when it came to sports.  He was an enthusiastic sports fan.  Depending on the season, you would see either a Seahawk or Mariner cap on his head.

Clifford was fun, always joking.  People loved him because he was always a positive person.  He seemed to take everything in stride, even when he had to move into an assisted living facility because of failing health.  He spent over 10 years at an Assisted Living Facility in Renton.  He appreciated the staff and residents there and felt like they were friends and family.

Clifford is survived by his three siblings, Diane Willis and her partner, Jim of Auburn, Mike Rohlf of Burlington and Cheryl Clark and her husband, Chad of Concrete; nieces and nephews, Donovan, Jeff, Michael, Tara, Tyler, Dylan, and Kylie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Donna Rohlf, and his sister Rena Erickson.

Never one to complain, even as he laid in the hospital dying, when asked him how he was doing he replied “good.”  Because of his good-humored disposition, it made it easier to care for him and he was always appreciative of the help given.

He was a big man with a big heart.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00, Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Lyman Cemetery, Pastor Jim Cannon presiding.  A time of visitation will be available from 9:00 to 12:30, Wednesday at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

Please share your memories of Clifford and sign the online guest register.
