CRAIG ALAN MILES, 45, of Claremont, California and Friday Harbor, Washington, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2005 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.

Craig received his BA in Finance from the University of La Verne and after graduation excelled in a variety of positions. Prior to being an award winning web site designer and information technology strategist for Highpoint, Inc. located in Claremont, California, he was a successful controller for the Optical Radiation Corporation of Irwindale, California. Craig had a passion for life, which he shared with all who knew him. He was an avid cyclist, a tea and coffee connoisseur, a prolific reader – especially of theology and philosophy, and a thought-provoking writer, who shared his thoughts and cancer journey through his web publications. Craig is survived by, Krissy Haugen, his companion of 15 years; father, Jerry Miles; aunts Betty Miles and Glenda Jimmink, both of California, and Camilla Miles of Arkansas, and several cousins. His mother, Elaine Miles, preceded his passing in January of this year.

To honor Craig a celebration of his life will be held at the home of Pierre Englebert and Beth Bodnar in Claremont, California on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. in the afternoon.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made to the Lance Armstrong Foundation ‘ www.laf.org; the Thomas Merton Foundation ‘ www.mertonfoundation.org; the San Juan Eagles, a group of local pilots of the San Juan Islands who offer their services to fly cancer patients to the mainland for treatments ‘ PO Box 611 Friday Harbor, WA 98250; or to a charity of your choice.
