Darrell James Wicker, age 48, passed away at his home in Lyman on Saturday, May 23, 2009.

He was born November 14, 1960 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington to John and Jeanette Cope Wicker.
Darrell was a lifetime resident of Sedro-Woolley and Lyman, attending school in Sedro-Woolley graduating from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1980. He was married to Kathy Anstensen in July of 1989 and their marriage ended in divorce. He worked as a welder for Dakota Creek Industries in Anacortes and he was a certified diver and had worked on the fish pens at Eagle Harbor.

Darrell enjoyed hunting, fishing, driving his quad and being out in the outdoors in the woods and on the water. He especially enjoyed going to Maui and spending time with his family years ago.

He was a loving father, loved by many and will be remembered always and truly missed.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Wicker and his companion Brittany Rude of Lyman. His mother, Jeanette Wicker of Clear Lake and two brothers, Dale Wicker and his companion Vickie Cargile of Sedro-Woolley and Darren Wicker and his companion, Kathy Mitchell of Concrete. His former wife, Kathy Anstensen of Anacortes. Numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life, potluck gathering will be Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 12:00 PM at Riverfront Park in Sedro-Woolley. Please bring your favorite dish and photos of family to share.

A Memorial Fund has been established at U S Bank in Sedro-Woolley in the name of Matthew Wicker to assist with the funeral expenses.

Arrangements and cremation are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
