Dean Allen Estes, 42, a life long Sedro-Woolley area resident, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley.
Dean was born in Sedro-Woolley on July 17, 1966, the son of Clyde & Maryann Hagen Estes. He was raised and attended school in Sedro-Woolley.
Dean worked in the logging industry for a number of years until starting his own construction company, Frugal Contracting, which he operated with his wife Tina. Dean was a Jack of all trades, doing just about anything in the construction industry. For the past couple of years Dean has worked as a boat builder and Supervisor for Pacific Mariner.
He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed riding his ‘Yamahog’ motorcycle, hanging out with his boys and being with his grandchildren and family.
Dean and Tina have been a couple since 1996 and were united in marriage in 2003. Tina died just twenty five hours after her beloved husband.
Dean is survived by his mother, Maryann Estes of New Braunfels, Texas.
His three sons, Michael Estes and his companion DeeAnn Reed of Hamilton and Daniel Estes of Sedro-Woolley and Colby Welch and his wife, Windy of Sedro-Woolley. Four grandchildren, Bethany & Bowe Welch, Kyle James Leander and Riley Hoyle. Two sisters, Debra Hall and her companion, Corey Johnson of Lyman and Sandy Rich and her husband, Mike of New Braunfels, Texas, his beloved cat, Fatso and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Estes; brother & sister-in-law, James & Lynn Estes and step-son, Kyle Leander.
Memorials are suggested to North Puget Cancer Care, 2000 Hospital Drive, Sedro-Woolley, WA.
A Life Celebration for Dean & Tina Estes will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Sedro-Woolley Community Church, 901 Talcott Street in Sedro-Woolley.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
