Dirk Aaron Wilson, age 40, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He was born November 5, 1968 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington the son of Georgeanna Poe Wilson.
Dirk grew up in the Sedro-Woolley area until moving to Ferndale in 1970, residing there until moving to Bellingham when he was 23. He had resided in Bellingham for many years until moving to Maui, Hawaii, returning to Sedro-Woolley in 2007.
Dirk worked as a framer and carpenter in the construction industry. He enjoyed painting, working on cars, fishing and listening to music.
Dirk is survived by his daughter, Erin Wilson of Bellingham and his son, Darrin Wilson of Blaine. A brother, James Wilson and his wife, Nadine of Blaine. His grandmother, Allie Poe of Sedro-Woolley; aunt and uncle, Sue & Vince Soriano and their son, Matt of Honolulu, Hawaii; nieces, Paiton, Hailey & McKenna Wilson of Blaine and numerous cousins.
Dirk is preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Poe; his mother, Georgeanna Poe Wilson, and his cousin, Chris Soriano.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 1:30 PM at the Lyman Cemetery with Pastor Bruce Martin of the Concrete Assembly of God Church officiating.
