DONALD JAMES ‘JIM’ LARSON, 72, a resident of Marblemount, WA passed away on Thursday July 17, 2003 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley.
He was born on June 7, 1931 in Seattle, WA, the son of Henry & Bertha Ranberg Larson. Jim was raised and attended school in Seattle. In 1947 at the age of 16 he joined the U.S. Navy, serving his county until 1950. After his discharge he returned to Seattle where he worked in military transport services as a warehouseman. He was united in marriage to Meda Lavadure in Seattle on July 3, 1961 and they made their home in Seattle until 1973 when they moved to Renton. After their retirement they moved to Marblemount in 1989. Jim was a longtime member of the Teamsters Union.
He is survived by his wife Meda at the family home in Marblemount. A brother Ted Larson and his companion Betty of Renton and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Lawrence, Ray and Vernon and a sister Mary Neumiller.
A Life Celebration will be held at the Cascade River Park residential community in Marblemount on Saturday July 26, 2003 at 1:00 PM. Cremation arrangements under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
