DONNA L. ‘LYNN’ JENKINS, 57, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Friday July 30, 2004 at the Life Care Center of Mount Vernon.
She was born on March 2, 1947 in Oroville, California, the daughter of Glen & Myrl White Schwellenbach. She was raised and attended school in Northern California.
She was united in marriage to Fred Gardner in 1964 and they made their home in several communities in Arizona and Washington. In 1985 the married William ‘Eddie’ Jenkins and they made their home in Bow. He preceded her in death in 1991.
For many years Lynn worked as a nurse’s aide in local nursing homes.
She enjoyed collecting ladybug items, fishing and going to the river, crocheting and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Tom & Diane Gardner and Jerry & Kelli Gardner of Sedro-Woolley, Earl Gardner of Everson, Tiffany & Dan Edwards of Sedro-Woolley and Michelle & Bill Smith of Bow. Her beloved 17 grandchildren. Her mother and step-father, Myrl & Skip Whitmore; her father and step-mother, Glen ‘Bud’ and Buelah Schwellenbach; her siblings, Holly, Robert, Karen & Clifford Whitmore and Glenda Schwellenbach and 1 niece, all living in California, and her companion Pat McNemar.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday August 4, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley. Bishop Keith Schenk of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Private inurnment will be at the Bow Cemetery.
