Edith ‘Millie’ Mohlin a resident of Skagit County since 1916 coming here from Canada, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2004 at the Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon, WA at the age of 97 years. She was born July 3, 1906 in Kipling, Saskatchewan, Canada the daughter of John and Ingrid Mortenson Hendrickson. Millie was married to Ivan Mohlin on March 24, 1934 in Sedro-Woolley where they made their home since that time. She worked as an executive housekeeper for Memorial Hospital and United General Hospital for 26 years retiring at age 65. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and she was known for her friendliness and hospitality. Millie was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years and always displayed a caring concern for other people. Millie is survived by her daughter, Barbara Hanson, of Sedro-Woolley. 4 grandchildren and their spouses, Gary and Linda Hanson, and Rick and Joan Hanson, all of Big Lake, Cheryl and Mark Lee of Oak Harbor, Brian and Darlene Hanson of Sedro-Woolley, and Dianne Hanson of Monroe, wife of deceased grandson Ronny Hanson. Numerous great and great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Stanley Hendrickson, of San Francisco, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, in June of last year, her parents, 10 brothers and sisters, and a grandson Ronny Hanson.
Memorial Services will be Sunday, January 18, 2004 at 6:00PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2549 Lafayette Rd, Burlington.
