Edward C. Bazinet passed away at this home in Concrete on Monday, July 22, 2002 at the age of 69 years. He was born March 23, 1933 in Sedro-Woolley, WA the son of Edward and Iola Barratt Bazinet. Edward grew up in the Lewis County area residing there for 30 years until moving to the Marblemount and Concrete area in 1968. Edward was a construction worker who worked on the Mossyrock Dam, Mayfield Dam, and the Swift Creek Dam. He also worked on the pipeline in Alaska and later worked for Bechtel at A;nacortes. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and he was married to Beulah Towne on April 30, 1955 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. Edward was a member of the American Legion in Olympia, Eagles Chehalis Aerie # 1550, a life member of the North American Hunting Club, DAV, NRA, and most of all he enjoyed hunting. He is survived by his wife Beulah Bazinet of the family home in Concrete. 2 sons and daughter in laws Edward S. and Debra Bazinet of Sedro-Woolley and Bill P. and Nancy Bazinet of Craig, AK. 4 grandchildren Benjamin, Buck, Brittany, and Allyshia.
Sister and brother in law Iola and Don Rhodes of Onalaska, WA and 2 brothers Bob and Gene Bazinet of Chehalis, WA. Edward was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Nancy Bazinet in 2000.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, July 27, 2002 at 11:00 AM at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with Pastor Ron Schenk of the Lyman Baptist Church officiating with Military Honors to follow by George Baldridge Post #43 American Legion.
