Edwin Earl Oliver, 75, a resident of Mount Vernon, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, April 22, 2012.
Ed was born on December 29, 1936 in Bellingham, WA, the son of William & Hazel (McCoy) Oliver.
As an infant the family moved to Sedro-Woolley where Ed was raised and attended school.
Ed worked at Safeway and Tradewell for a while until he began working at Skagit Steel where he was a furnace operator making 105mm shells during the Vietnam Conflict. Ed then went to work for WRP as a shake sawyer & filer for 23 years, when he left the mill he began his own trucking company, E & L Trucking Co. which he operated for 15 years. After retirement he enjoyed boating and fishing, but mostly spending time with his family.
Ed is survived by his loving family.
