Edwin Leroy Williams, age 60, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at his home near Concrete, Washington with his family at his side. He was born March 24, 1949 in Seattle, Washington to Arthur and Thelma Thomas Williams.
Edwin grew up in Mountlake Terrace and graduated from Mountlake High School in 1967. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Viet Nam until he was injured and disabled. After his military service, he attended various colleges for three years. He was married to Lynn Shorter on February 21, 1970 in Colville, Washington.
Edwin resided in Mountlake Terrace for 37 years until moving to Concrete 2 years ago. He worked for Qwest Telecommunications for 28 years retiring in 2001 as a systems software trouble shooter. After his retirement, he worked for the Edmonds School District assisting autistic children.
Edwin enjoyed hunting, fishing, being out in the outdoors and most of all he loved being with people.
He is survived by his wife Lynn Williams of Concrete. A son, Trevor Williams of Marysville. His father, Arthur T. Williams of Kent, a sister-in-law, Joanne Mach of Concrete, a close family friend, Frank Osborne of Mountlake Terrace, and his brother, Tom Williams of Republic. Numerous aunts and cousins.
Memorials are suggested to Skagit Hospice. Arrangements and cremation under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
