Eleanor Mignon Browne, 83, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident passed away at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon on Tuesday, February 25, 2003. She was born on August 23, 1919 in Gilmore City, Iowa the daughter of Henry and Blanche Day Weber. As a young child she moved to Burke, Idaho where she attended grade schools in both Burke and Mullan, Idaho. She graduated from Wallace High School in Idaho. Eleanor graduated from Kinman Business University in Spokane, WA. She was united in marriage to Estell ‘Skip’ Browne on August 9, 1941 in Spokane, WA and moved to Sedro-Woolley in 1947 where they made their home. She was an Assistant Personnel Officer at Northern State Hospital in Sedro-Woolley for many years.
She is survived by her beloved husband Skip at the family home in Sedro-Woolley. 2 daughters, Nancy Eckerlin and her husband Rick of Shoreline, WA and Margie Clark and her husband Mark of Kennewick, WA. Her endearing memories will always be remembered by her 4 grandchildren, Jeff, Denise, Kristen and Melissa. She enjoyed life to its fullest.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday March 1, 2003 at 2:30 PM at the Cascade Christian Church in Sedro-Woolley, Pastor Tim Farnham officiating. Inurnment will be at Hawthorne Memorial Park in Mount Vernon. The family suggests remembrances be made to the Cascade Christian Church or to Puget Sound Christian College, 7011 ‘ 226th Place SW, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043.
