She was born on March 20, 1921 in Maynard, MN, the daughter of John & Ida Rubel Marholz, Jr. She was raised and attended school in Maynard and there was united in marriage to Arthur Williams on December 31, 1939. In 1962 Evelyn and Arthur moved to Willmar, MN, where Arthur preceded her in death in 1976, and she worked at the Willmar State Hospital until her retirement in 1982. Following her retirement she returned to Sedro-Woolley, where in 1985 she married Cecil Raines and where they made their home. Evelyn was very caring to family and friends and to all who knew her. She never missed sending wishes on birthdays and anniversaries. She has been a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church for 54 years; enjoyed attending gatherings with the T.O.P.S.
