Ezra Franklin Buller, a longtime resident of Rockport, WA and Carlton, WA died unexpectedly on August 8, 2005.
He was born in 1925 in Rockport, the son of Wade & Helen Bradford Bullers.
Ezra’s grandmother and mother were teachers, his grandfather was a veteran of the Civil War, and his father was a blacksmith.
Ezra played at dances at the Bullerville Dance Hall, and was partners with his brothers in a lumber mill in Rockport where he grew up.
He was a veteran of WWII-Europe as an infantryman and truck driver in the 4th Infantry Division. He fought in the Campaign for the Ardennes and Battle of the Bulge, often being parachuted into successive battles. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
A retired logging truck driver, Ezra also raised cattle, was an avid fisherman, and grew his own vegetables.
Ezra is survived by his brother, Nicholas Buller and his wife, Betty of Mount Vernon, Illinois; a son, Robin Buller and his wife, Sherry, of Stanwood and a daughter, Frances "Sue" French and her husband, William of Concrete; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade Hampton Bullers and Helen Harriet Bradford of Rockport, an infant son, Kenneth Franklin Buller, a daughter, Diana Rose Buller, and 8 siblings.
Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans or the Girls and Boys Town of American organizations.
A celebration of his life will take place Sunday, August 14, 2005 at the Marblemount Community Club from 1:00 ‘ 4:00 PM.
