FRANCES BROOKS, 91, a resident of Lyman, WA, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday September 2, 2002.
She was born on November 19, 1910 in Everett, WA, the daughter of Charles & Sarah Boisinneau Imbleau. As a young girl she moved to Leavenworth, WA where she was raised and attended school. Frances lived in Seattle for a while, later moving to Bellingham. She worked as a cook in the work camps for crews building the Baker, Ross and Grand Coulee dams. She was also a cook and waitress in many restaurants in the Bellingham area for many years. In 1975 she moved to Lyman where she has since made her home. Frances enjoyed spending time with her family and attending church. She has been a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1952 and a current member of the Concrete congregation
She is survived by her son, Larry Brooks of Darrington and his children, Carrie, Jared, Rachael and Larry Brooks, Jr.
Grandson, Earl Kenoyer & wife Linda and their children, Michelle, Carla, Brenda & Kyle Kenoyer of Bellingham, WA. Granddaughter, Laureen Furnas & husband Michael of Lynden, WA and their children, Leah, Jair & Mara Furnas and Jael Frank Komac. Grandson Rodger Kenoyer & wife Jolly of Bellingham, WA. 1 sister, Gertrude Kenoyer of Lyman, WA. 1 nephew, Eugene ‘Buck’ Shirley Imbleau, a special niece and caregiver, Rolande Kenoyer and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ernestine Brown and 2 brothers, Gene & Louie Imbleau. Memorials to a charity of your choice are suggested.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday September 4, 2002 at 2:30 PM at the Lyman Cemetery. Arrangements under direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
