PASTOR FRANK ENSLEY, 53, a lifelong Skagit Valley resident and longtime Sedro-Woolley area minister, went Home to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday November 11, 2003 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Frank was born on October 11, 1950 in Sedro-Woolley, one of ten children of Luther & Mary Jane Queen Ensley. He made his home in Lyman where he was raised and attended grade school and then attended school in Sedro-Woolley. He was united in marriage to Tami Miller in Sedro-Woolley on November 15, 1969 and together they have made their home in Sedro-Woolley for the past 34 years.
Frank worked for Skagit County doing road maintenance. For several years he was a patch truck driver and then a dump truck driver. He retired in 1998 with over 27 years of service do to health problems.
In 1985 Frank heard his calling from God, and with family and friends started the Sedro-Woolley Community Church, a congregation to which he has been a pastor and friend to for the past 18 years. Frank loved God, and the preaching of his word. Along with God, Frank’s family was very important to him; Tami, his daughters and grandsons, and his church family. Frank also enjoyed fishing and visiting the cabin on the Skagit River, traveling and tinkering around his home.
Frank is survived by his wife, Tami, at the family home; his daughters, Tahnee Crawford and Tyanna Ensley, and his grandsons Daniel, Alden and J’den, all of Sedro-Woolley. 2 brothers, Amos Ensley of Hamilton, WA and J.B. Ensley of Arlington, WA. His mother-in-law, Frances Miller of Sedro-Woolley. A sister-in-law, Candy LaMont and her husband Fred of Woodinville, WA and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters and his father-in-law, Howard Miller. Memorials are suggested to the Sedro-Woolley Community Church, c/o 314 W. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday November 16, 2003 at 1:30 PM at the Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley. Pastor Garnett Pitts of Florida officiating. Interment will be at the Hamilton Cemetery followed by a fellowship with an evening service of praise, music, food and sharing memories of Frank at the Sedro-Woolley Community Church, 901 Talcott St., Sedro-Woolley. Arrangements under direction of Lemley Chapel Sedro-Woolley.
