Geraldine ‘HOUT-SULI-A’ Williams, age 72, passed away peacefully January 22, 2023, at home at the Upper Skagit Indian Reservation, Sedro-Woolley, Washington, surrounded by her family. She was born June 16, 1950, in Enumclaw, WA to George and Alice (Edwards) Williams.
Geraldine was a lifelong resident of the Upper Skagit Tribe, was a commercial fisherwoman and community cook. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed crocheting and attending cultural events, and was a member of the 1910 Shaker faith.
Geraldine is survived by her children, Trudy Schuyler, Larry (Tara Rodriguez) Peterson, David Tillman and Elia Bright; grandchildren, Darryl Schuyler, Janelle Schuyler, Rochelle Peterson, Troy Peterson, Jeremy Peterson, Makayla Grant, Jontae Bright, Neveah Bright and Katelynn Geraldine; great grandchildren, Quinten, Colsen, Justice and Alaia.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 12 siblings; son, Baby Darryl Lee.
A time of visitation will be held at 1:30, Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley; Prayer Service at 7:00, Tuesday at the Upper Skagit Gymnasium; Funeral Service at 10:00, Wednesday at the Gymnasium followed by the Graveside Committal at the Hamilton Indian Cemetery.
