Glenda Darlene ‘Lynne’ Card Jones, 63, a former Skagit County resident, passed away at her home in Henryetta, Oklahoma on December 29, 2008.
She was born on February 3, 1945 in Mitchell Field, New York, the daughter of Major Glenn & Florence Hicks Card.
In 1947 the Card family settled in Clear Lake and there Lynne was raised and attended school in Clear Lake and Sedro-Woolley where she participated in many activities. As a child, she loved to roller skate and during her adulthood, she enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, VFW, Rebekah’s and the Bryant Community Church in Henryetta, OK.
She was united in marriage to Larry Lillard and they made their home on Whidbey Island and in California. Larry passed away in 1979 and Lynne eventually moved to Henryetta, OK where she has made her home for over 30 years. Lynne was married to Roger Jones in September of 1993. He also preceded her in death in 2001.
Besides her husbands, Larry & Roger, Lynne was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Loretta Tritten and three grandchildren, Randy Lillard, Jr., Ryker Lillard and Rochelle Lillard.
She is survived by her four sons, Rodney Lillard and his wife, Lisa of Tahlequah, OK, Randy Lillard and his wife, Vicki of Warrensburg, MO, Ricky Lillard and his wife, Anna of Battle Creek, MI and Robbie Lillard and his wife, Amy of Tulsa, OK. A sister, Cynthia Card of Mount Vernon, WA; two brothers, George Lennox of Sedro-Woolley and Glenn Card of Kiowa, CO and five grandchildren, Ryan, Asa, Saralyn and Ashley Lillard and Shawn Anthony DeRoy.
Graveside Inurnment services will be held at the Clear Lake Cemetery on Friday, August 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Rilla Barrett officiating. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Service arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
