GUY EDGAR MacLELLAN, 87, a longtime Sedro-Woolley area resident, passed away on Thursday November 27, 2003 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
He was born on October 25, 1916 at Quilcene, Washington, the son of Thomas J. & Flora Sewell MacLellan. As a young boy the family moved to Hamilton, WA, where Guy was raised and attended grade school & high school. For several years Guy worked in the CCC Camps, and at the Hines Lumber Camp in Oregon. During WW II Guy served his country in the U.S. Navy, being honorably discharged in October of 1945. Following the war, Guy drove a taxi in Sedro-Woolley for a number of years. He was united in marriage to Hazel Knight in Sedro-Woolley in July of 1951. For a long time Guy was a bartender at the Old Timers Tavern in Sedro-Woolley, working there until he and Hazel purchased Evelyn’s Tavern in Clear Lake, which they operated until their retirement in 1984. Leisure time found Guy fishing, or more than likely playing pool or listening to his favorite country music tunes that he loved so much. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the Eagles.
Guy is survived by his wife, Hazel, at the family home in Sedro-Woolley.
