HAVEN A. WILLIAMS, 85, a longtime resident of Burlington, passed away at the Ovenell Home Adult Care Facility on Saturday February 7, 2004.
He was born on December 5, 1918 in Franklin, North Carolina, one of ten children of Joseph & Doschia Walker Williams. He was raised and made his home in North Carolina until enlisting in the U.S. Army during WW II.
He came to Skagit County in 1946, making his home in Sedro-Woolley.
He worked for many years in the timber industry and then as a gardener in the nursery business.
For the past 14years Haven has made his home in Burlington.
He is survived by a sister-in-law, Margaret Williams of Sedro-Woolley, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his five sisters and four brothers.
Graveside services will be held at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery on Thursday February 12, 2004 at 11: 00 A.M. with military honors by the George Baldridge Post, American Legion.
