Helen Faye Rohman, 85 years young, drifted on a snow flake to Heaven to be with our Lord and Savior and husband Bill on Christmas evening, 2008.
She was born August 15, 1923 in Roanoke, Virginia the daughter of Luther and Carrie Stallings.
Helen was raised and attended school in Roanoke, Virginia.
She met her husband Bill during WW II and after peace was declared, they were married on January 2, 1946 in New York City. They resided in Fargo, North Dakota briefly before moving to Bemidji, Minnesota where they made there home until moving to Sedro-Woolley in 1950.
Helen worked for 30 years as a L.P.N. and was employed at Northern State Hospital working in Central Supply and Surgery. After Northern State Hospital closed it’s doors, Helen transferred to Western State Hospital in Steilacoom and worked there until she retired at 76 years young. Finding retirement un-fulfilling, Helen moved back to Sedro-Woolley in 1999 where she worked until she was 80 years young at North Sound on the Northern State Grounds.
Helen was a member of the Hamilton First Baptist Church and enjoyed all of her church activities.
Helen leaves behind her children, Terry Lee ‘Butch’ Rohman and his wife, Dorothy of Hamilton and Netti Bryson and her husband, Doug of Sedro-Woolley and three grandchildren, Nathan Rohman of San Francisco, CA, Robert Worsham of Sedro-Woolley and Crystal Rohman of Sacramento, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill in 1972, her sisters, Thelma and Agnes and her brother, Bud.
Graveside Inurnment Services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery with Pastor Ron Edwards of the Hamilton Baptist Church officiating. Memorials are suggested to North Puget Oncology, 2000 Hospital Drive, Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284 or to the Hamilton First Baptist Church.
