HELEN M. KLINGER, age 92, a longtime Sedro-Woolley resident, passed away on Saturday August 2, 2003 at the Life Care Center of Skagit Valley in Sedro-Woolley.

Helen was born on June 3, 1911 in Yates Center, Kansas, the daughter of John A. and Maud J. Rollins Dickinson. On November 26, 1934 she was united in marriage to Lewis ‘Lew’ Klinger in Madison, Nebraska. In 1936 Lew and Helen moved to Sedro-Woolley, where they enjoyed the green hillsides and the rain. Mrs. Klinger loved gardening, canning and cooking. Helen was very outgoing, loved people and staying in contact with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Klinger in July of 1998 and by her sister Thelma Remington. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Kenneth & Sharon Klinger of Anacortes and Dennis & Florence Klinger of Sedro-Woolley. Five grandchildren; Kristi Lang and husband Troy of Anacortes, Dale Klinger and Kirsty Lowery of Sedro-Woolley, Dean Klinger and his wife Erin of Sedro-Woolley, Darren Klinger and his wife Kathy of Sedro-Woolley and Tammy Cannif of Sedro-Woolley and nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Lemley Chapel, Wednesday, August 6th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley on Thursday, August 7, 2003 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. John Hamers officiating. Private family interment services will be held at Fern Hill Cemetery in Anacortes. Services under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
