Helen Virginia Hargis, age 81, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley, WA. She was born August 27, 1923 in San Diego, CA, the daughter of Harry and Leta Belle Fulton Parker. Helen was a resident of Concrete for the past 15 years and formally resided in the Fife area for many years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and loved animals. Helen was a member of the American Legion in Concrete. She is survived by her children Peggy Schultz of Marblemount, James Hargis and his wife Bonnie of Milton, Rhonda McMillen of Concrete and her companion Jack Boone of Concrete. 8 grandchildren Kevin Marie, Shannon, Shonda, Jason, Jimma, Daniel, Serena, and Brandon ‘BJ’ and numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. A sister Bobbie Fronunfelkner of Vacaville, CA and a brother Johnny Simmons and his wife Bonnie of Longmont, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Bessie Chinn.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Thursday, April 7, 2005 at 4:00 PM at the Heskett Arnold Post #132 in Concrete with Chaplain Betty French officiating.
