Irma Virginia Stafford, 88, a former Skagit County resident, passed away at the Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata, WA on Sunday November 2, 2003.
She was born on October 8, 1915 in Marblemount, WA, the daughter of Oline & Grace Clark Stafford. She was raised and attended school in Concrete.
On June 20, 1934 she was united in marriage to Edgar Stafford in Clarkston, WA and they made their home in Marblemount until moving to Ephrata in 1987. Irma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was very active in the Assembly of God Church in both Marblemount and Soap Lake.
She is survived by her children, Gordon Stafford and wife Leanne of Ephrata, WA and Geraldine Ammons and husband Jim of Elma, WA. 4 grandchildren, Cheri Phelps and husband Ryan of Soap Lake, WA, Rachel Moreno and husband Larry of Ephrata, WA, Jim Ammons of Elma, WA and Janette Jennings and husband Craig of Ocean Shores, WA. 7 great-grandchildren, Taylor & Sydney Phelps, Garet & Jared Moreno, Amanda Ammons and Trey & Matt Jennings. Also many loving and caring sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed in 1989, a brother Dolphus and a granddaughter Stephanie Ammons. Memorials are suggested to the Soap Lake Assembly of God Church, PO Box 27, Soap Lake, WA 98851.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 8, 2003 at 2:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley. Pastor David Pearson of Lake Stevens officiating.
