JANET BRADEN BOGAR, 77, a Sedro-Woolley, resident, passed away on Thursday April 10, 2003 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
Janet was born in Spokane, WA on July 15, 1925, the daughter of Hugh & Lottie Smith Braden. She was raised and attended school in Spokane. For seven years Janet worked for the Spokane Eastern Bank as a secretary and teller. In 1950 she began working for the Washington State Patrol as a secretary and a stenographer. On March 15, 1952 she was united in marriage to Darrell Bogar in Coeur D Alene, Idaho and they made their home in Spokane and Idaho. From 1968 to 1973 they made their home in the Orient, returning to Spokane in 1973 and then St. Marys’, Idaho. They finally settled in Sedro-Woolley in 2000. Janet was a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed oil painting, sewing and spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Darrell, at the family home in Sedro-Woolley, WA. 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca & Dick Ferguson of Port Orchard, WA, Susan & John Schmidt of Clayton, WA and Julia & Victor Brugliera of Sedro-Woolley, WA. 1 son and daughter-in-law, John Braden & Stacy Bogar of Clayton, WA. 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hugh & Lottie Braden and a brother, Dr. Beverly Eugene Braden.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 19, 2003 at 1:30 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on McGarigle Road in Sedro-Woolley. Bishop Mel Call officiating.
