Janine M. ‘Jaime’ Wait, a resident of Concrete for the past ten months, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2004 as the result of an automobile accident near Sedro-Woolley at the age of 59 years. She was born April 7, 1945 in Everett, WA to Herb and Virginia Weinz. Jaime grew up in Snohomish County residing in Arlington from 1973 to 1984, later moving to Skagit County residing in Bow and Sedro-Woolley. She was married to Freddie L. Wait on March 7, 1970 in Portland, OR. Jaime was a homemaker and also delivered newspapers for the Seattle Times & PI in the Sedro-Woolley and Upper Skagit area’s. Jaime also worked as an aide at Allen Elementary School in Bow and from 1989-1990 she helped teach English at Skagit Valley College. She enjoyed long walks on the beach, reading, her animals, and taking pictures when traveling. She is survived by her husband Fred and her son Marlon G. Wait of the family home in Concrete. Her mother Virginia Weinz of Darrington and a niece and nephew both of Everett Shelia Box and William Weinz. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother Jim Weinz.
Funeral Services will be Friday, July 16, 2004 at 11:00AM at Lemley Chapel with Pastor Walter Rice of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Hawthorne Memorial Park in Mount Vernon. Memorials are suggested to M.A.D.D.
