Jean L. Dillon, age 85, passed away on December 26, 2009, in Concrete, Washington.

She was born on November 26, 1924, in Sedgwick County, Colorado, the daughter of Elmer and Violet Marshal Abbott.

Jean met Charles Eugene Dillon in Greeley, Colorado, and they were married in Lawton, Colorado on August 5, 1949.

She was a longtime First Grade school teacher in Stevensville, Montana. Charles and Jean moved to Concrete in 1971, returning to Montana until Charles retired and then they moved back permanently in the early 80’s. Jean was mostly a Mom and Grandmother, and loved sewing and gardening, especially roses.

She is survived by her daughters, Shannon Kleinhuizen and Colleen Vickers and by her son, James Dillon and his wife, Marty. Six grandchildren, Jason Kleinhuizen and his wife Cindy, Jenny Kleinhuizen, Dee Vickers and Chaz, Kari and Caitlin Dillon. A great-granddaughter, Meshayla Barrett and a great-grandson Chandler Simmons. Brothers Don and Bob and his wife Joan Abbott. Jean was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 2004 and a brother James Abbott.

Memorials are suggested to Skagit Hospice, PO Box 1376, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.

A private family committal service will be held at the Forest Park Cemetery in Concrete. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
