Jennette L. Hill, age 58, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2005 at United General Hospital in Sedro-Woolley after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 22, 1947 in Visalia, CA, the daughter of James and Eleanor Rush Thomas.
Jennette grew up in Tulare, CA graduating from Tulare Union High School with the Class of 1965. She attended College of the Sequoias in Visalia, CA and later attended Four C’s Business College in Fresno, CA. She met Harry Hill in September of 1965 and they were married in February of 1967 in Tulare, CA. They resided in Gardnerville, NV and in Utah until moving to Burlington in 1977, residing there until moving to Sedro-Woolley two and a half months ago. Jennette was office manager and bookkeeper for Hillcom Computer Center in Burlington and for the past 17 years was an Avon sales representative and was a member of Mount Vernon Women in Business. She enjoyed working in her yard and camping, but most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren.
Jennette is survived by her husband Harry Hill of the family home in Sedro-Woolley, son Gregory Hill and his wife Lori, daughter Janine Holt and four grandchildren Corbin and Caree Hill and Alexander and Jordan Holt all of Mount Vernon. She is also survived by her mother Eleanor Thomas of Tulare, CA, sister Carol Kemp and her husband James of McKinney, TX, brother Michael Thomas and his wife Celeste of Tulare, CA, father and mother-in-law Harry and Agnes Hill of Bradenville, PA, sisters-in-law Susan Lindenberger and her husband Charles of San Marcos, CA and Linda Hoeflich and her husband Timothy of Marietta, OH, brother-in-law Joseph Hill and his wife Donna of Derry, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Jennette was preceded in death by her father James Thomas.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at 12:00 PM at the Green Hills Cemetery in Burlington with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 PM at Bethany Covenant Church, 1318 S. 18th Street, Mount Vernon with Pastor Kent Egging officiating. Memorials are suggested to North Puget Oncology 2000 Hospital Drive Sedro-Woolley, WA 98284.
