JUDY HELEN PACKARD, 46, a resident of Conway, passed away at her home on Thursday March 18, 2004.
She was born in Seattle, Washington on April 10, 1957, the daughter of Hal and Gertrude Carson Williams. Over the years Judy lived in several communities along the west coast until her family finally settled in Vancouver, WA, where she graduated from Columbia River High School. She then graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1979 with a Batchelor’s Degree in Geology. She worked for many years in the development of, and the sale of specialized oils and greases, primarily those used by NASA and the aerospace industry for equipment requiring special applications.
She was united in marriage to Ken Packard at Union, Washington on February 9, 1985 and they made their home in Seattle until moving to Conway in 1995.
Judy enjoyed many outdoor activities; cross country skiing, hiking, running, boating and camping, but her greatest enjoyment was scuba diving.
She is survived by husband Ken, and son Kenny Packard, at the family home in Conway. A brother, Tom Williams of Seattle, a sister, Debbie Gunning of Sierra Vista, AZ, an uncle, Ed Carson of Port McNeil, British Columbia and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Hal Williams.
