JUDY LEE EATON, 53, a longtime resident of Cordova, Alaska passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2005 in Hoquiam, WA.
She was born on May 10, 1951 in Seattle, WA, the daughter of Howard and Peggy Watson Eaton.
She was raised and attended school in Goldendale, WA and graduated from The Dalles High School in Oregon in 1969.
Judy has made her home in Cordova, Alaska with her longtime companion John Burch. She was a wonderful cook and was famous for her breads and jellies. Judy was a friend and mother to all. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Judy is survived by her children; sons, Anthony Paul Cushman and Robert Joseph Bernard both of Portland, OR and daughters, Alana Wilson and her husband, Maury of Portland, OR, Kari Ann Bernard of Fairbanks, AK and Dena Maxine Bernard and Bonnie Jo Bernard of Burlington, WA. Her mother, Peggy Cook of Lyman, WA. 5 grandchildren, Taylor, Kayla, Hayley, Madeline and Katie. A sister, Jody Dethman and her companion, Ron Reiss of Burlington. A brother, James Eaton and his wife, Cheryl of Burlington, WA and nieces and nephews, Amy and Dave Mercer, Jeremy and Teresa Dethman and Michelle, Tim, Katie and Andy Eaton. Also John’s children, David, Michael and Jenna Burch.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Eaton.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Lung Association of Washington, 2625 Third Ave., Seattle, WA 98121-1200.
Visitation will be available at Lemley Chapel on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 PM and on Friday from 9 am to Noon, followed by Graveside Services at 1:00 PM at the Lyman Cemetery.
