Leona Lois Self, 87, of Sedro-Woolley, Washington passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, in Mount Vernon, WA.  She was born in Burlington, WA on September 20, 1936, to Ralph Jackson and Harriet Matilda (Walter) Jones.  She was married to David Hillier Self on September 5, 1953, at the time of their marriage, Leona was 16 years old and David was age 19.  They had been married seventy blessed years at the time of David’s passing.

Leona grew up in Sedro-Woolley enjoying the simple life.  In her earlier years, she found work in the berry fields around Skagit County while raising seven children.  She found her hobbies as a way of relaxing.  One of her hobbies was playing BINGO with her friends.  Leona also loved card games, building jig saw puzzles, Yatzee and had an extensive coin collection, and her favorite hobby of all was spending time with her family.

Leona is survived by her daughters; Kathy Noles, Donna (Christopher) Howard, Maleta Eves, Lora (Robert) Parker, Claudia (Phillip) Smith; sons, Greg Self and his partner, Arbie Adams, Jason (Renee) Self; grandchildren, Shasta Jaksha, Miranda Haussler, April Noles, Frank Noles, Jr., Ryan Bacus, Rae Ammons, Chad Rogers, Keith Rogers, Chris Rogers, Sheila Wilfong, Tina Clark, Wade Parker, Shavonne Parker, Brennen Parker, Carrie Ann Gilbert, Richard Self, Tara Kinuthia, John Wolfe, Chevy Wolfe, Colby Patterson, Luke Patterson and Ella Self, 41 great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
