Linda Marie Allen, 64, a longtime resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Skagit Valley Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born on June 10, 1944 in Bellingham, Washington, the daughter of Frank & Paula Nielsen Potter.
Linda made her home in Van Zandt, WA and attended grade school in Acme and then Mount Baker High School in Deming where she graduated 2nd in her class in 1962.
Linda has made her home in Sedro-Woolley for over 40 years and just recently retired as the accounting supervisor for the Snelson Companies Inc. after 40 years of service. Linda enjoyed traveling, reading a good book, gardening and her family, especially her grandson.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin Allen and his wife, Cynthia of Oak Harbor and Kyle Allen of Sedro-Woolley. Her grandson, Jalen Allen and was greatly anticipating her second grandchild in July. Her brother, Don Potter and his wife, Anne of Bellingham; one niece and three nephews and a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Bolden of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lee Potter.
The family request memorials be made to The Friendship House in Mount Vernon.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Lemley Chapel in Sedro-Woolley. Interment will follow at the Van Zandt Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
