Lois Ann Frizzell, a resident of Sedro-Woolley for the past 61 years passed away at her home with her family at her side on Monday, December 15, 2003 at the age of 68 years. Lois was born June 30, 1935 in Sauk Center, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Teresa Timmer Gaspard. She grew up and attended schools in Sedro-Woolley and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School in 1951. Lois was united in marriage to Olin Frizzell on May 29, 1952 in Sedro-Woolley and this year they celebrated their 51st anniversary. She worked as a bookkeeper for Skagit Lumber for many years and later managed the Eagles Club and was instrumental in moving the Eagles Club to their present location. Lois was very active in the Eagles and held every elected position within the organization.
She loved crocheting, cooking, and gardening as well as she taught herself accounting and how to play the piano.
She is survived by her husband Olin of the family home in Sedro-Woolley. 9 children, Dennis Frizzell and his wife Audrey of Sedro-Woolley, Gail Spurrier and her companion Carl Harris of Omak, WA, Laura Sanders and her companion Randy Ensley of Sedro-Woolley, Suzanne Durkee and her husband Mark of Wasilla, AK, Dale Frizzell and his companion Jenie Gates of San Diego, CA, Allen Dean Frizzell of Mount Vernon, Jennine Frizzell and her companion Dale DeLano of Sedro-Woolley, Kenneth Frizzell of Burlington, and Rhonda Campbell of San Diego, CA. 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A brother, Ronald Gaspard and his wife Janet of Bellevue, WA and a sister, Jean Byars of Union, WA. Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Randall, her parents William and Teresa Gaspard and a brother David Gaspard.
Funeral Services will be Friday, December 19, 2003 at 2:00PM at Lemley Chapel with interment to follow at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to North Puget Oncology in Sedro-Woolley. A reception will follow the services at Eagles #2069 at the corner of Metcalf and Warner.
