Lois F. Extine, passed away Friday August 26, 2005 at the Burton Care Center in Burlington, WA at the age of 84 years. She was born February 6, 1921 in Brooks, Alberta, Canada, the daughter of George and Rose Berry Clark.
Lois came to Sedro-Woolley as an infant attending school and later worked as a telephone operator in Sedro-Woolley and Burlington. Lois was married to Clyde Extine in 1937 in Sedro-Woolley and he preceded her in death in 1994. She was known as the Yodeling ‘Lois K.’ Cowgirl with the Bar-X-Buckaroos Band and she also sang with Smiley Burnett and on KBRC Radio. Lois was an active member of the Church of God of Prophecy and sang and played piano and guitar for their worship services. She and Clyde, during their marriage enjoyed traveling in their motor home to Arizona and she was known as an excellent cook.
She is survived by her son Charles Extine and his wife Patsy of Renton, WA and a daughter Doreen Livengood of Ferndale, WA. 7 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A sister Cleo Johnson of Hoogdahl and a brother John Rowland and his companion Hazel Huff of Sedro-Woolley. Lois was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jean Extine.
Memorial Services will be Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 11:00AM at the Lemley Chapel with Pastor Roger Jones of the Church of God of Prophecy officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Sedro-Woolley Union Cemetery.
