LOREN KEITH TRITTEN, ‘Larry’, 67, a longtime Clear Lake resident, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday July 6, 2005.
He was born on September 17, 1937 in Platte County, Nebraska, the son of Edward L. & Sara Krieger Tritten.
He was raised and attended school in Nebraska. After graduating from high school Loren enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served his country for four years, much of that time spent on the U.S.S. Hornet. On April 19, 1957 he was united in marriage to Loretta Card in Sedro-Woolley and they made their home all over the world.
After his discharge from the Navy, Loren enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he was a flight examiner load master. He served in South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Okinawa and Viet Nam. He retired from McCord Air Force Base in Tacoma after 20 years of service.
Loren also worked for the U.S. Post Office for several years until his retirement in the mid 1990’s.
Loren and Loretta have made their home in Clear Lake since 1980, where Loren enjoyed many hours of fishing on Clear Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta at the family home in Clear Lake and his son, Ron Tritten also of Clear Lake. 3 grandchildren, Travis Keith, Ryan Wayne and Ronni Lea Tritten and 1 sister, Betty Mitchell of Nebraska. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday July 12, 2005 at 2:00 pm at the Clear Lake Cemetery officiated by Chaplin Robert Mulligan. Military Honors will be provided by the George Baldridge Post 43, American Legion.
