Loretta Walker, 95, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Burton Care Center in Burlington following an extended battle with cancer.
She was born on October 31, 1914 in Franklin, North Carolina, the daughter of William & Jeannette Higdon Cope.
Loretta was raised in North Carolina until the family moved to the Skagit Valley in 1919, settling near Hamilton, residing at Camp 3 and she attended grade school in Hamilton.
In 1934 Loretta was united in marriage to Howard Evans and they made their home in Lyman where they started their family and Loretta worked as a waitress at the Jack Pot Caf
