Mark Edward Birchall, 48, a former Skagit & Whatcom County resident, passed away Monday, August 18, 2003 at the Northridge Hospital Medical Center in Van Nuys, CA. He was born November 5, 1954 in Sedro-Woolley, WA the son of John and Carol Ellis Birchall.
Mark grew up in the Saxon area of Whatcom County and graduated from Mount Baker High School. He enlisted in the US Army after graduation and served his enlistment in Germany.
For many years he worked as a shake mill worker for various mills in Whatcom and Skagit County.
For the past 6 years, Mark has resided in North Hollywood, CA. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed bow hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Joseph Birchall and his 3 children, Emily, Brittaney and Jeremiah, and by his 2 daughters, Misty Birchall and Angela Birchall and her son Louis; all of Shelton, WA. His mother Carol Pederson and her husband Robert of Sedro-Woolley, WA and his father, John T. Birchall of Sun Valley, CA. 3 step-brothers, Gary Duling of Ferndale, WA, Brian Pederson of Mount Vernon, WA, and Brad Pederson of Burlington, WA. 3 step-sisters, Judy Maxey of Portland, OR, Tina DeVoll and Tammy Harvey both of Burlington, WA, and his former wife Tammi Birchall of Shelton, WA. He was preceded in death by a son Jeremiah Birchall and by his grandparents Charlie & Goldie Ellis, Charles Birchall and Jeannette Engstrom.
Graveside Services will be Friday, August 22, 2003 at 11:00AM at the Saxon Cemetery near Acme, WA with Pastor Bob Dillard of the Little Brown Chapel in Wickersham officiating. Arrangements and services under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
