Mary Jo Fyfe Gloman, age 68, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2009 at her home in Burlington, Washington with her family at her side.

She was born December 24, 1940 in Sedro-Woolley, Washington to Peter and Lorene Vancott Fyfe Jr.
Mary Jo grew up in Sedro-Woolley attending school and graduated from Sedro-Woolley High School with the class of 1959. She attended college and graduated from Central Washington University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

She taught school in Darrington, Washington for 4 ‘ years and that is where she met her future husband Joe Gloman. They were married on May 27, 1967 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho celebrating 42 years together.
They resided in Darrington for many years until moving to Burlington in 1983.

Mary Jo was a tax consultant for many years and also taught tax classes. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed traveling, but most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren and her cats.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Gloman of the family home in Burlington. Her children, Joseph F. Gloman of Everett, Patricia Jo Neff and her husband Todd of Burlington, and Wade J. Gloman of Sedro-Woolley. Six grandchildren, Nathan J. Gloman, Patric R. Gloman, Samuel J. Gloman, Kristina A. Neff, Brittney L. Neff, and Alex J. Neff. Her sister, Nancy J. Smith and her husband David of Sun Lake, AZ. She was preceded in death by her son Brian J. Gloman and a sister, Charlene Burkel.

Private Family Graveside Services will be Monday, November 9, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham with Pastor Ron Deegan of the First Baptist Church of Mount Vernon officiating. Visitation will be available from 9 AM to 5 PM at Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley from Tuesday through Friday. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Skagit Hospice.
